200 WEST JAMES, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
This project included renovations to an existing warehouse structure for offices and shop space for a local contractor. The remainder of the building was prepared for leasable tenant spaces and for the offices for the James Street Improvement District. This project included a complete reconstruction of the interior of the building, construction of a new central staircase, replacement of existing windows and new infill panels, and a canopy element at the entry.
This project was awarded an Honor Award by the American Institute of Architects in 2005 and also received a C. Emlen Urban Award from the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County for Adaptive Reuse. |
